What keeps you stuck? We look to the future and there’s something that we really want to do, and instead of doing it, we remain stuck in our fear. We’re blocked from moving forward just as surely as if we were on the wrong side of a locked door!
This month’s book can help you move through those blocks that we all put up from time to time. The title is, “Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway” by Susan Jeffers, Ph.D. It’s an excellent book that I read quite a few years ago, but I’ve never forgotten the wisdom contained within. The book’s front cover describes it as having”dynamic techniques for turning fear, indecision, and anger into power, action, and love.”
How are you stuck? What is there that you’d like to do, but just don’t have the confidence and willingness to take the chance? Where are you settling in life? How do you protect yourself from venturing into the unknown? What kind of negative messages are you giving yourself that keep you from moving forward? Life goes by so quickly, and none of us know how much time we’re going to have. Please don’t waste your precious days stuck in a too small comfort zone!
Neither the author nor I am suggesting that you take dangerous chances, but if your negative “chatterbox” is keeping your from experiencing a life that is fulfilling, joyful, and stimulating, then this book can be very helpful. It can teach you how to find the freedom to look your fear in the eye, and “do it anyway”! If you want to move forward into a new job, a new relationship, a new career, a new skill – whatever it is that you dream of doing – you can make it happen. You have the power to change your life. Read this book, get some additional support and guidance, and then enjoy the ride! Make your dreams come true!
As always, I would love to hear from you regarding this entry,
Linda
