It’s great that we have this one day set aside to really turn our focus toward the gratitude we feel for our blessings!  But what about the other 364 days?

What can help us to shift our thoughts and attention on those days?  We need to turn from the petty annoyances, and even from the bigger problems that we all encounter from time to time, and instead really see the many things that are going right for us — the people and happenings that could be providing joy and peace of mind, if we only took notice of them!

We each have the power to change our lives, one day at a time!  We can choose to start turning our focus to what makes us feel happy.  The negatives won’t suddenly disappear, but they will shrink in proportion to the attention we give them.

You can do it!  You can begin to create time each morning to plan for the positive things you might do that day.  Before you go to bed at night, review your day and be grateful for each blessing you’ve experienced.  Doing this will help you drift off to sleep in a relaxed, peaceful manner — so much better than counting sheep!

Stretch a little piece of Thanksgiving out to cover each of the other 364 days in the year!  Live your life in gratitude, and you will feel your stress level go down, and your joy go up.  Celebrate by truly giving thanks, and watch your smile grow wider and your eyes shine brighter, day by day!
