It’s been over a week since you’ve heard from me. That’s because I was taking my own advice, and managing my stress by taking some time out to rest, relax, and enjoy family that I don’t get to see often enough. We just got back from a music festival. It was great fun!! There’s just nothing like being around people that are near and dear to your heart, listening to happy music, and seeing beautiful scenery! I came back with lots of wonderful memories and a renewed zest for life!
I was unplugged from my computer for that time period, which meant that there no way to catch up with emails, do any blog entries, or “tweet” on Twitter. The world didn’t stop! I was able to plug back in today, and begin to catch up with things with a more relaxed attitude and renewed energy. I did have my cell phone while I was gone, though, so that if any of my Santa Barbara clients had needed to contact me, they could have. My goal is always personal empowerment for my clients, but if an emergency had come up, I wanted them to be able to reach me. No one called, so no emergencies. That’s a very good thing!
How about you? Would you be willing to choose a time to be “unplugged” for a few days? Is there somewhere you’d like to go, something you’d like to do, that would help you to relax, unwind, and mellow out? You’re all giving so much to everyone day in and day out. Isn’t it time for you to give to yourself? Let me know what you think. I would love to hear your ideas for “unplugging” so that you can recharge your energies.
Until next time,
Linda
