How are you handling the continuing pandemic? We’re all struggling with the cumulative impact of day after day feeling fear of exposure, loss of our normal routines, and loneliness. This has gone on for so long already, and we haven’t yet been able to see the end of Covid-19.
Most of us have good days and bad days. That’s normal and natural. But if your bad days are coming more often than your good days, or if your discomfort, fear, and frustration have exceeded your ability to cope, there’s nothing wrong with reaching out for help. Being able to talk with a professional for support and guidance can make a profound difference.
In the meantime, focus on the things that you can control, do your best to be flexible, get out in nature, stay physically active, listen to soothing music, do something creative, look for uplifting quotes, watch funny videos, read absorbing books, call a good friend, eat healthy food, and get enough rest. Many of my clients have found meditation, journaling, visualization, slow, deep breathing, and yoga to be helpful. Learning to self-soothe is such an important activity!
Take good care, and always remember to be gentle, patient, and kind to yourself!
Until Next Time,
